Buying directly from the producer?
If you want to source more from producers in your region, here is where to go:
Producers' Markets
Marchés de Producteurs : Farmers' markets are sales venues exclusively reserved for farmers and artisan bakers. In a joyful and friendly atmosphere, they showcase the richness and diversity of their local area. By visiting these markets, you buy directly from the source and share the love of good products!
Farms and Agricultural Operations : Many of them also offer direct sales on site, providing the opportunity to meet the producer and observe the manufacturing process or the animals you consume. This experience is particularly rewarding because it allows you to meet the people behind the products you buy and support them directly by visiting their farms. It is a highly appreciated approach as it strengthens the bond between consumer and producer.
Producers' Stores : These stores bring together different farmers who have decided to unite to create a collective sales point where their products can be sold. They offer a wide variety of local products to be enjoyed directly from the source.
Agricultural Cooperatives : Some cooperatives allow consumers to buy products directly from the producers who are members.
Gourmet Grocery Stores and Food Halls: In these shops, find carefully selected regional specialties. At the Fabrique food hall, we have selected more than 350 products from local farms for you!
Agricultural Events and Fairs : These are festive occasions where you can find an entire community centered around agriculture. These moments offer the chance to admire animals, eat quality products on site, but also to purchase them (cheeses, cured meats, fruits, vegetables, animals...), attend contests, and much more. In short, these are must-attend events of the year!
