The biscuit factory of Provence, Le Petit Duc, and the Croquettes de Vinsobres are three old houses that make traditional biscuits. For several generations, they have been creating treats that delight both young and old gourmets, using local products as much as possible. They select the finest ingredients for you to create delicious old-fashioned biscuits.
The Provençal biscuits of our childhood!
Each of our houses aims to help you discover or rediscover the biscuits of the past through a wide selection of biscuits, each more delicious than the last.
The traditional biscuits of the Biscuiterie
At the biscuit factory, you will find 3 old-fashioned biscuit recipes:
- The Provençal navette : A symbol of the region, with a slightly sandy texture, thanks to its quality ingredients enhanced with a touch of orange blossom. It is one of our oldest and most popular biscuits in the shop.
- The Canistrelli : A Corsican specialty that we have revisited to make a specialty of our factory, using products from our region. It is a square biscuit, intensely crunchy with a delicious lemon flavor.
- The crunchy almond biscuit : An essential specialty of Provence, this dry biscuit is made only with organic ingredients. The oval slice is tasty and will bring back memories for many of you.
Le Petit Duc and its old-fashioned biscuits
Le Petit Duc is rich in authentic biscuits from the past! You can discover a total of 9 recipes available in bags or assortments to taste them all.
- The almond triangles : Halfway between a biscuit and a confectionery, the Almond Triangles are the flagship biscuit of Le Petit Duc ! A biscuit treat enhanced with a delicate honey almond blend…
- The Muscat clovers: A fine shortbread dating from the 17th century, made with Muscat wine and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.
- The chocolate sticks : Thin cocoa biscuits born from an ancestral recipe dating back to the 20th century! A delicious blend of almonds and dark chocolate.
- The ginger hearts: A thin and delicate biscuit that crunches under the tooth, releasing the sharp and spicy flavors of ginger
- English flowers : Richly buttered shortbreads with a melting texture, originating from 18th-century England.
- The vanilla desires : They are extremely rich in almonds, without butter or egg yolk, with very little flour and a generous amount of vanilla, topped with royal icing.
- The Anise moons: A perfect harmony between almonds and green anise, evoking the delights of our region
- Paulette’s follies: Square bite-sized treats with rich notes of honey, almond, orange, and lemon... from 20th-century expertise!
- The Almond Cacaos: From an 18th-century Swiss recipe, these shortbreads are an irresistible combination of chocolate flavors and crunchy almonds!
The famous Croquette de Vinsobres!
A delicious almond biscuit, emblematic of the region, made with 20% almonds and only 5 ingredients. A crunchy biscuit from our region that charms and will continue to charm!
We offer two recipes: the traditional and a revisited one, to which we have added chocolate.
